Expecting some magic from the host? Indeed you can. Your host Aji Alex ( master chef ) is keen to demonstrate his cooking skills to the guests. He has a team of experts in his team Mannaas. He will take classes in the evening to explain the methodes of Kerala cooking. We assure that you will get enough knowledge about Indian spices, the methode of using and combining them for various dishes.
You can also taste typical Kerala food with grandma's recipes and Organic vegetables from own farm… We serve the cuisine of 2000 year old Kerala Syrian Christians which blends the Indian and European taste.The Exotic menu prepared from the farm fresh fruits, fresh seafood, meat and vegetables, flavored with spices grown at the backyard ensures the right mix of nutrients. You can select from the spread of Kerala Cuisines prepared by Mrs. Thankamma Joy, the Landlady who has inherited the culinary expertise from her Grandmother. We are glad to cater to any special diet requirements, if needed and can provide for vegetarian options too. In fact all meals are discussed with the guests. Most of the dishes served are centered around fish, farm vegetables and fruits, duck, chicken and occasionally other types of meat, supplemented with rice and rice based local breads like appam, string hoppers etc. Some of our specialties are karimeen fry (pearl spot fish), fish molee, prawn and scampi preparations, duck roast and curry, and red hot Kerala fish curry to name a few.For the adventurous, drinking Toddy (it is the fermented sap of the coconut tree- a kind of country liquor) can also be considered.
Desserts are usually puddings, fresh fruits and some local specialties. We try to give each guest a sample of the numerous varieties of dishes in our cuisine.
